Canadians have had enough of Trump.
And the Trudeau government has had enough.
They are fed up with Donald Trump’s bullying of Canada and out Prime Minister.
Trump has been calling Trudeau nasty names through his Tweets.
And it’s all because the Orange One did not like the comment that Canada would not be pushed around and would stand up to the good ol’ United States.
Trump imposed a series of punitive tariffs on Canadian goods entering the United States and Canada pushed back – imposing tariffs dollar for dollar of what the American tariffs will cost Canada.
Trump imposed the tariffs because he did not like the way the NAFTA talks were going along because Canada refused to cave in on some outrageous American demands.
So who is the new point person to push back on Trump’s bullying?
It is none other than Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s foreign affairs minister.
And she did saying:
Trump’s tariffs “are protectionism, pure and simple—a naked example of America putting its thumb on the scale in violation of the very rules it helped to write.”
“Canada has no choice but to reciprocate dollar for dollar and we will do so. We will not escalate. And we will not back down.”
And her tough talk will be getting the thumbs up from Canadians.
In fact,Canadians have had enough of Trump. Canadians are sick and tired of his bully tactics.
And they want Ottawa to do something about.
And that feeling is held by a huge majority – 70 per cent.
