And there is a certain irony in that question.

All factors point to the world’s population moving to the major urban areas.

The trend to moving and living in the big cities began in earnest about 20 years ago.

Couples who lived in the suburbs often upon retiring moved into the big cities.

Big cities also offer more opportunities when it comes to jobs.

In 12 years from now  there will be 43 mega cities in the world – cities with populations of more than 10 million, up from 33 cities today and just 10 in 190.

Today, 55 per cent of the world’s population lives in urban area.
And that percentage will rise to 68 per cent by 2050 – meaning an additional 2.5 billion people will be new residents in big cities.
But despite that living in small cities and rural areas has a great appeal to people.
