Is Guacamole Healthy?
Yes, and that’s because of its monounsaturated fats.
“These are healthy fats that play an important role in the structure and function of our brain and other cell membranes throughout the body,” says Jordan Badger.
He is a registered dietitian at Boston University’s Sargent Choice Nutrition Center.
Because of their fats, avocados also help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
And make people feel full and satisfied.
Also guacamole contains fibre.
One serving contains about two grams of fibre.
Eating avocados with carbohydrate-rich foods helps control your body’s glycemic response.
This is important because your glycemic response affects blood sugar levels.
Avocados also are full of vitamins and minerals – 20 different ones.
And aside from using avocado’s for making guacamole the avocado is one of the hottest commodities.
