Seven-year old makes $22 million a year on YouTube.
And that’s in U.S. dollars.
But since our last story in September in Cool Conversations his earnings have doubled to $22 million.
His name is Ryan.
His parents will not disclose his name.
So what does Ryan do?
His job is simple.
And he loves it.
And he is a phenomenal success.
His followers are elementary school kids like he is.
And he has 17.3 million of them.
His channel on YouTube is called Ryan ToysReview.
The channel started three years ago in 2015.
Since then it had almost 26 billion views.
He is the highest paid star on YouTube.
“I’m entertaining and I’m funny,” he said in a recent interview on NBC television.
Seven-Year Old Makes $22 Million A Year
Aside from being a mini-millionaire he is like any other seven-year old.
He loves trains and cars.
Giggles over Disney characters .
And loves building things with Lego.
His videos are from five to 30 minutes long.
Often his mom and dad are in the videos with Ryan as they all play with toys.
And his reviews have become so popular that he launched a toy line called Ryan’s World.
It includes putty, goo, toy cars and dolls.
They are sold at Walmart, Target and Amazon.
And because he is still a child he sees next to nothing of the money.
So 15 per cent of all the monies are put into a bank account for him.
And he can only access that when he becomes a legal adult.
The $22 million is earned two ways.
Sponsored posts account for $1 million.
And $21 million comes from ads prior to his toy reviews starting.
His mom says eventually Ryan will stop being on YouTube:
“Right now, he loves making videos.
“Every time I tell him we’re going to film, he gets so excited.
“As long as he’s loving it and it doesn’t disrupt his daily routine, we plan on continuing.
“But the moment he’s not having fun any more, that’s when it will be time to stop.”
