Karma is a wonderful thing. During the election campaign Donald Trump loved it when hackers hurt his Democratic opponents. In fact, he gloated about it. But now karma has caught up with him and it has just begun.
Great news.
Daphne the missing mascot duck had Australia in a tizzy.
But now she has been found in the vast Indian Ocean and and Australians are breathing a sigh of relief.

FACEBOOK SCANDAL TAKES A WORLD-WIDE TOLL KNOCKS OF $35 BILLION (U.S.) OF ITS VALUE AND WHAT IT MEANS TO ALL OF US

THE STORY

Facebook has been hit by a major scandal that involves prostitutes, bribes, the wrath of politicians in Europe and the United States and causing a major stock market plunge plunge after it was revealed that a private data analytics firm illegally harvested data from Facebook for nefarious purposes.
All of this became public knowledge after a young 28-year old Canadian from British Columbia, who used to work for the Liberal Party in Canada, blew the whistle on the whole operation.
The company claims to have have worked secretly on 200 election campaigns throughout the world and took credit for the election of Donald Trump.
But it did not stop there, the company’s chief executive officer of Cambridge Analytica was caught on tape saying they could bribe and entrap politicians with prostitutes.

THE SETTING

So what does it all mean to you? Should you care? After all you just use Facebook to post articles, comment on them and share them with your friends.
Harmless.
Right?
Wrong.
Because every time you do that Facebook collects that data and then stores it.
And what most Facebook users don’t realize is that the information the company gleans from your posts, comments, shares, paints an accurate picture of you and your personality.
And that data is then sold to a variety of companies so they can use it for their marketing campaigns.
And these revelations have caused a political storm on two continents.

WHAT IT MEANS

So here is everything you need to know about this debacle and how it affects you.
And a corporate shakeup has begun at Facebook with the chief security officer leaving after he tweeted several times that Facebook had done nothing wrong but those tweets were ultimately deleted.
And he was the one who advocated more transparency about how Facebook handles the data it collects.
But the best part of all this is that people are leaving Facebook in great numbers.
And Mark Zuckerberg Facebook’s main owner and chief executive officer has been silent about all of this so far.
