Donald Trump’s policy of treating migrant children and their parents continues to reach new lows.
And lest not forget Trump continues to lie about the whole matter no matter what he says.
He was the one who made the decision to separate migrant children from their parents.
And when that decision caused a major outcry in the United States and abroad he backtracked saying:
“My wife, our first lady, is down now at the border because it really bothered her to be looking at this and seeing it, as it bothered me, as it bothered everybody at this table. We’re all bothered by it.“
And having said he then issued an executive order saying the policy was going to change so that the separation no longer would take place.
And he went on television showing him signing that order.
But as it turned out to be the case the order was nothing but typical Trump flim flam.
It was designed to quell the public outrage that had erupted.
And finally to get a good idea how Trump feels about immigrants here is an excerpt from a New York Times article from last September.
“Trump administration officials … rejected a study by the Department of Health and Human Services that found that refugees brought in $63 billion more in government revenues over the past decade than they cost.”
And this quote from Trump reveal his true intentions other statements to the contrary.
“The United States will not be a migrant camp and it will not be a refugee holding facility.”
